An introduction to Hotel Gran Canaria Princess
The Hotel Gran Canaria Princess has grabbed a great spot in Playa des Ingles. It's right in the frothy heart of the resort so there are bars, restaurants and shops on tap. Plus it's only a ten-minute walk to the beach. And there's a golf course just down the road, too. So boredom won't be a problem here.
But as good as the location is, it's the pool area that goes all out to impress. Lagoon-shaped, it wouldn't look out of place at a Caribbean beach hotel. All palm trees, waterfalls and smooth-surfaced rocks, it's tropical to say the least. And the palm-thatched pool bar, little wooden bridges and a spacious sun terrace speckled with sunloungers and parasols completes the picture of paradise.
Set slightly apart from the hotel's swimming pool epicentre there's another terrace tucked away in the garden. Covered by a delicate, thatched gazebo, it's a shady haven from the heat of the day. Factor in some chunky wood sofas with squeezably-soft cushions and you've got one relaxing hideaway.
As for the bedrooms, they're nicely decorated in fruity brights and come with air-conditioning, satellite TV and balconies made for catching the early morning sun.
On top of all that, there are bars, restaurants and entertainment that runs the gamut from dancing to cabaret. All in all, it's a lovely hotel with pool to die for.
