Plus, less than a kilometre away is Universal Studio's Portaventura, a theme park that gives Florida's big ones a run for their money. But when you want to chill out, the Europa is the perfect base. A popular choice with families, friends and couples alike, most people make a beeline straight for the figure-of-eight-shaped pool. At its centre is a relaxing whirlpool bath and it's sunk in to a large palm-peppered terrace with parasols and sun loungers. And when you're in need of something ice-cold, the bar is just a few flip-flops away.
If you don't want to stay horizontal for too long though, there are pool tables and video games on hand. And kids don't have time to be bored with a hotel-run miniclub and a playground. After dark, there's plenty to entertain you if you fancy a night in. Tuck into a delicious buffet meal in the dining room, which has a weekly themed dinner.
And then settle down with a drink in the lounge or on the terrace for live music and shows. Friendly, relaxing and in a top spot, the Europa has got it all.

this was my second visit to hotel europa park in salou,first time was great and the second time excellent. Staff are lovely and fun. hotel entrance is lovely and welcoming. Went from home to home. Rooms over looking the pool area have a large balcony... more on this review
