En route to Barcelona you pass Montserrat, a monastery perched high up on a mountain top. The principality of Andorra is somewhat further afield via a beautiful scenic route which takes you through the Pyrenees. The pretty town of Sitges is a shorter drive away with its maze or narrow streets and trendy cafes.
