Voulas Houses

Built in traditional Maniot style, the eight detached cottages enjoy a good degree of privacy thanks to the dense silvery-green foliage of the olive trees. For our guests, we have selected two one-bedroomed and one two-bedroomed cottages. All are charmingly rustic inside, with lovely beamed wooden ceilings and attractively tiled floors. The one-bedroom cottages are perfect for couples, and have two terraces: one to the front with views of the olive groves, and a private one to the side of the cottage. The larger cottage has a similar layout but has one double and one twin bedroom and is thus suitable for a family.

Tucked away amid a mature grove of olive trees, two clusters of four stone-built cottages stand just around a headland from the delightful village of Kardamyli. They are within a 15-minute walk of the enticing waterfront tavernas and the harbour, yet feel wonderfully secluded and peaceful. What makes their position even more desirable is that they are only a seven-minute walk along a footpath from lovely Kalamitsi Beach, a beautiful bay of pebbles framed by imposing cliffs and hidden from view by a crescent of elegant cypress trees. Most of our guests to Voula's Houses are keen walkers. The walking and hiking in this area is outstanding with many marked trails winding their way up the Taygetos mountains and the Vyros Gorge and through mountain villages passing Byzantine churches where you will be rewarded by spectacular scenery.
