Ile Rousse has the warmest climate on the island, thanks to the sheltering Balagne hills around it and its gently shelving white sand beaches. The nearest beach is a mere 10 minutes away and is a long stretch of paradise, with with beautiful turquoise water. Those staying at the welcoming town of Ile Rousse may want to check out the bustling marketplace, where you can spend the day sifting through the huge array of goods on offer, including local produce and souvenirs. Beneath the plane trees in the village square are a selection of cafes where you can sample traditional cakes and pastries.
